Big sores in the mouth (not from bit)

Clover has come in with sores on her mouth, not in the bit area that highly resemble the big sores in this photo (scroll to first post)

Has anyone any experience of this in the UK? Is it a reaction to grass/hay OR herpes? Don't fret, vet will be attending anyway as he's here for something else...

She does snuffle a bit when in getting ready - also she was kept in for 3 days when she arrived - and that was about 2 weeks or so ago, so maye have picked them up then.

Could be buttercups. One of mine had similar a few years ago and I was told that was the most likely cause

Hmm ok, well think it is definitely down to something she's eaten/come into contact with, let me see if I can find a pic of her grazing..

It's buttercups- causes ulcers around the lips.
