After all the posts about certain insurance companies and how crap they are at paying out (guess which

) I thought I'd do a 'I love my Insurance Company' post

Piper had impaction colic just before Xmas and ended up going into Horspital on a drip, resulting in a large vet bill. Vets took ages sending out the bill then I was totally disorganised in getting it sorted, so finally managed to hand the insurance claim form (which they send out promptly the day after I called them) into the vets a couple of weeks ago.

Last week I received a letter saying they had recived my claim and would honour it, no quibbles. Yesterday I got the cheque through for the entire amount (minus excess obviously)

Very please with them. No fuss, no hassle. The premium is fairly expensive (#30 a month) but well worth it.

Now I need to get myself organised enough to pay the cheque in so I can them pay the vets..........

The NFU Home and Contents Insurance is good too, I got much the cheapest quote from them this month. It's their Centenary year, so lots of discounts if you ask!

I also agree. My previous horse had kissing spine problems and they even extended the months they would cover until he had made a full recovery. Both my other horses are insured with them. Wouldn't use anyone else.

I am thinking of changing one of my horses and several of my dogs over to NFU as a lot of people seem to like them and their premiums don't seem to be as high as some others

I am with NFU and they are fab, I fill in the claim form for the vet and pay the excess and the vet / NFU sort out the rest. They are also very helpful on the phone.

I have the house, horses and dog insured with NFU. They have always been very good with any claims, and the vets seem to like them because they settle quickly.
