I wont even waste more time telling you about it as its a ridiculous request at work, but... What has been the biggest waste of your time today?

1) meeting up with a non-horsey friend at a local historical/National Trust place & having to spend the morning trawling through a boring (yaaaawwwnn) lecture about the blimmin place. Bored the pants off me and the ONLY interesting thing was the parkland outside - and thinking and fantasising about what a glorious hoon one could have there .........

2) Then came back home and had to de-rug the poor horses as they were way too hot (had put light turn-out rugs on them as it was tipping down with rain & wind when I left); then Hairy Terrier went out and rolled in something unspeakable - so had to spend ages washing him down. First wash: still stunk; second wash: still stunk, but bearable so will have to do.

Am going to Mary King's victory parade at Sidmouth tonight: so the day should improve considerably. Then we're gonna hit the pub!

Farrier arrived before me and tied the boy to his door (with twine) and had parked his van wherei normally tie up. I therefore couldn't muck out while he shod the horse. Always a silver lining, a friend turned up as the farrier was finishing so I had a nice catch up. :)

Being stuck at boring work when I could be out riding ;) (yes I know it pays the bills but 5 days of sitting on my backside being bored really grates lol)

Having had to wait nearly a week so the garage could look at my Fourtrak cos the bulk of the lights aren't working, and sitting in the garage 3hrs while they fiddled around with it,only to be told they can't find the fault and given the telephone number of a man that does...who can't look at it till Monday!!! :(

Have you checked the fuses? :)

Being on here and the rain

Having to waste my time in the office, but...

*** I have been offered a new job which I've accepted so sat here feeling quite smug that I won't be here for much longer***

A three hour lunch in the pub for a colleague who was leaving - great fun, but definitely some time wasted!

Then coming back to "work" and wasting the rest of the afternoon trying to find out if paralympic tickets were still available. :o:p

Sorting out new Boots Sherwood Furlong Boots allegedly waterproof but leaked like a sieve replacement pair fetched and the juries out (Not Holding my breath) is it only Dubarries that Work as they should :confused::confused:

Upgrading my contract phone, how can something so simple take so long and really T Mobile, which bit of " i do not want an I-Phone because it will not fit in my jeans pocket when i ride the horse" do you not u derstand:mad:

Tacked up and mounted for third lot, walking round the car park when me and one other girl were told to get off and put the horses away because the owners were coming to look at them. So the poor things stood in their tack for an hour waiting for the blimmin owners to turn up, didn't phone or anything!
Then horsey proceeded to launch himself all over the car park when they were looking at him because he was so fed up!

1/2hr spent standing in the office car park because they'd decided to do the weekly scheduled check of the fire alarm but were then unable to turn it off so we had to go out in the sun *just in case there was a real fire*:D

Going to see a horse, after explaining in depth my wants, don't wants, etc, to one person, being advertised as lovely safe, quiet hack and arriving and it being exercised in a horse walker and dealt with by another person who had no idea of my wants, dont wants, etc, then told to come back in a couple of days when it has been ridden a few times. Oh, and assured it being on its toes today wasn't usual. :(

I had a letter from Natwest Mortgage dated 7th Aug, saying I have missed my mortgage payment, I know I paid it on the 31st July.. so I phone anyway to put my mind at ease and am in a queue for 18 mins! I then get told by the operator he needs to transfer me to another department, only to be told yep it's fine an error on their part!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
