Did anyone go last night?
I did with mum and my best mate, and i would just like to say to everyone how good it was. Would recommend going to anyone, some very good pointers. He had two riders who rode two horses each, first they had two young horses who were inexperienced, and then two more experienced horses. Was very good. He was really emphasising how important flatwork is, which i was impressed with. He then got on a horse that he'd never ridden (was one of the Quob horses) and jumped it, and to demonstrate how much riders intefere with their horses before a jump he looked away at the approach to the jump, litereally about 14strides out he looked to the side to show how if he left the horse alone (because he didnt know where the jump was) the horse would adjust itself and jump much smoother.
I also managed to speak to him in the break and ask a question about how to get rocks confidence back showjumping and i got a VERY irish answer back.... "just give him a good crack up the arse with the whip"....
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
