The Bilsdale Hunt
Newcomers Day
An introduction to Hunting

We are holding a newcomers day, this will
give anyone interested in getting started hunting,
a small insight in to the various aspects of hunting.

Please bring your horses if possible, as we will be riding out with hounds in a controlled environment, If you are not able to bring your horse, don’t be put off, it’s not mandatory.

The day will start with tea/coffee and some words of wisdom from the Master, Hunt staff and Feed Specialist. (Horses in boxes and wagons at this point, as the talk will be given in a barn) The Master and hunt staff will explain what a days hunting is all about and what will be expected from you. The feed specialist will be able to give advice on what to feed your horse, for a good days hunting.

We will then all get mounted & follow hounds for about an hours hack, this will be in a controlled environment.

Then back to the farm for BBQ / light refreshments, this will give newcomers a chance to mingle & chat with hunt staff and experienced hunt members.
