I'm trying out a friend's pair of Bioflow brushing boots (large size) on my 16.3hh 17-year lad who has started to develop arthritis in his forelegs. I have been very pleased with the results to date and am thinking of buying a pair. However, the large size of brushing boot is almost too big for his forelegs and was wondering whether I should buy the small size. Has anyone else had a similar dilemma? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a small pair of the brushing boots on my 16.2 mare's front legs and they fit fine, certainly wouldn't want to be any bigger.

I use small sized ones as they were originally bought for my 14.2!

I have a 17.1hh and he is in the full size and they fit brilliantly. I think it depends on the 'bone' of your horse, think my boy is 9 1/2 inch below the knee (middleweight belgian WB). I think they are brilliant and put them on my horse at about 7.30pm at night and he doesn't have them taken off until about 8.30am the next day. They definetely help reduce wingalls and have in teh past helped with slight lameness pain. Brilliant product. The dog collar I found was absolutely naff though, didn't do a thing for my dog.
