Hi - I won a Your Horse competition and now have the largest tub of Equine Gold sat in my kitchen! As I never usually win things like this I am very excited

but I thought I would see if any one has used it or if you have any thoughts on it?

I used it on my old horse . seem great and did the job and a tub seemed to go a really long way

btw Congrats on winning

I won some too! Im trying to decide which of my 5 horses gets it and am currently thinking my smallest veteran ponies could do with it. There doesnt seem to be a lot in the ingredients though? Does it really do anything?

It's great stuff, I won some through the EHOA a couple of years ago and Hector looked fantastic on it. It really kept the condition and bloom on him, even when he was eventing hard.

As a matter of interest did you get sent anything telling you that you had won or did the Biotal just turn up?? I was very confused when the delivery bloke first arrived

No, suddenly I found a package out in my shed with no note to say why I had it! I do reviews for a magazine so assumed it was a freebie to review but they said no, and thats when I spotted your post!

I tried a tub of this last spring on recommendation. About that time my horse was scouring a wee bit on the fresh spring grass but it dried up within a few days of being on the equine gold. I assume it had an effect but would be interested if it would have made a difference or if it was coincidental- anyone had similar experience?

oooh think I won it with EHOA same time as you baydale!! May be off to aston in a couple of weeks for training again!!

Re the biotal, had a years supply but to be honest was using blue chip pro at the same time too so no clue as to whether there was a difference or not as I was using both!

Fantastic stuff BUT exactly the same as normal brewers yeast-
If you buy some in the future save your money and buy plain old brewers yeast in a bag without the brand name!!

thats exactly what i bought it for, my horse was badly scouring and had to get vet and they put him on a course of pro-biotics and recommended i gave him the biotal supplement at the end of the course. He's been on it ever since and really helps. He still scours a bit once he's seen the trailer and whilst were out competing so i always increase the dosage a few days before and until a few days after the comp which seems to help him out!
