Having bought our own place with land in February and work commenced on my stable block with a vengeance the day the planning came through in September (took forever to get this far).

The ground works took a lot longer than anticipated but went smoothly albeit I was a bit horrified at first with how much earth had to be moved and levelled.
After being let down by a couple of stable manufacturers I finally settled on Hunter Stables to put up my L-shaped stable block.

I could not be happier with them, they were faultless and have put up the stables and barn with little fuss despite the horrendous weather last week.
The quality is fantastic and they tidied up after themselves - bonus !!

Anyway, thought some of you might be interested in the progress. The pictures show how it was - originally a vegetable plot which had disgracefully been let go by us.

Still a bit to do but hopefully moving horses in on Thursday.

Looks great! My shelter is a Hunter one, put up late spring and I couldn't have been more please with the service I received from them.

Fantastic, although i do think youve under estimated how many stables you will need. Once you have them at your own place you seem to double numbers in no time at all

Enjoy making memories

It looks brilliant!

As above, keep up with the photos. I look back at mine sometimes and it’s hard to believe it’s the same place.

This looks amazing! Congratulations! I'm so envious 😅 we are in a national parks zone, and they wouldn't grant planning for permanent stables and yard, mines all "temporary" stuff... Would have killed for a set up like yours over the stormy weekend!

That's harsh.
We're in Dartmoor National Park - there was a lot of hoops to jump through and I gather trying to get an arena is nigh on impossible now in DNP.
If I had the choice I would have bought a place with stables already there in order to save a lot of time and uncertainty but I'm there now at last.

Looks super. Reminded me of when we built our yard. It's a very exciting time. I hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of having horses at home.
