I am absolutely thrilled, just received a brand new flextol groomer machine for my birthday. For my 21st (now many years ago) I was given one which has survived near daily use, the benefits of which are have always been clearly visible. I have always prided myself in my horses appearances and although biased I would have to say they have always looked magnificent as a result of the grooming machine. Forty years on I now have a new one to play with, the old one still works, cant believe there are many bits of equipment that would keep going so long, it just bounces slightly on one side which we cant get to the bottom of but I am always reminded how old it is.

ooh a grooming machine - how do your horses like it? I've seen them before but I feel like mine would hate it. Is it really loud?

It is not as loud as big set of clippers, so I have to say all my horses love it, I have even used it on our foals in the past before a show. The horses seem to react as if they are having a massage, the continous circular motion of the brush is obviously very soothing for them. Their coats always look amazing after they have been done and it means you never have to wash them before a competition which I always think makes their coat go all stary.
