as an aside, is it usual to have someone fecking about so much? Always imagined that the dog would the pups and then have them feeding? I never would have imagined so much human interferrence?

I feel really sorry for this little King Charles... Its had all its puppies whizzed away from it by the breeder/owner and its left sat in the box all by its self looking like its about to have its 5th puppy...

I would of thought that the breeder would of left the pups with the mum, although that box is a bit small, maybe she thinks they will get sqaushed??
 
I wondered that - why doesn't she get left with her pups?

Also the mare that has just foaled - now having a muck out and another bale of bedding put in! I don't fuss my mare that much as she eats her tea, let along if she had just given birth!!

Now he has come in and put her head collar on... I would of thought it would be a better idea to leave her to get to know her foal for a couple of hours at least... seeing as she doesn't seem that interested in it in the first place...
 
Ah they are having a chat now ! Perhaps as she realised she didn't need to get up and clean the little one due to someone else doing it for her !

I've read other posts re this webcam not sure I am a fan of how they do things !
 
This guy is starting to bug me now... he keeps coming in... Looking around and then walking out again, its not like he is even checking on the foal...

Oh god someone else is in the now with him... whats with all the kicking the hay round the stable!!

Get out... go and have a brew and let mum and baby actually get to know one another :(
 
Looks like puppy No 5 could be on its way out!!! Shame the other pups have been taken away from her... she must be wondering where the heck they are!!
 
OK question is (and this is related to puppies!) how can puppy number 3 be born a "preemie" ???? Surely they are all on date or all preemie???? anyway sorry it passed away but strange comment?

I wondered that too - surely they will all be the same gestation? Maybe he was a runty one, but surely that isn't the same as being premature?

I watched one on there a little while ago. The pups were taking out straight away and were away from the mum for at least 2 hours :confused: I even asked why! They said they had to be checked, what for 2 hours? :confused: The poor mum was alternating between licking her down below region (she looked very uncomfortable, understandably) and looking eagerly for her pups, I felt so sorry for her. But then I know nothing of animal births, just seems so much interference form humans, so much yanking, pulling (especially some of the horse births), fussing etc.
