Opinions on the DIY livery at BB. I'm planning on going there to do a level 3 ext diploma starting September and will be taking my horse but can't seem to find and reviews or info about it? Good points and bad welcomed and if any one had been there doing further education not higher I have been told you can only wear specific cloths is this a new thing or been in place for a while? I am aware there in no turnout and riding times are limited due to lessons but that doesn't bother me. I'm also applying for the show jumping academy if anyone has experienced this before?
Thanks :)

I wouldn't livery mine there due to the no turnout and ltd exercise. They just stand in boxes all day being poked and prodded - no thanks its no life for a horse. There are a couple of good livery yards locally which would be my way of doing it.

There is a set uniform for the equines but its only some of the levels and you should be told about it prior to going - if you're not sure ring and ask the course manager.

Hi i was a student there up until last year but i travelled in and kept my horses somewhere else.

For the amount it costs, and for what the horses get I personally would look elsewhere. Riding time is VERY limited probably more limited than what you are being told. Their is no turnout and horses must be led in bridles. Horses must be mucked out by 8AM. You must also always have someone on the ground with you when you are jumping ect which is not always practical. I know it seems like you might get riding time inbetween lessons but remeber Bishop also holds clinics/competions/BHS exams which will limit riding time even further.
