bit advice needed please

My friend and I went to a lesson yesterday with our four year olds, she was advised to put her mare into a full cheek snaffle, however she is having difficulty getting the correct size but can find a fulmer (loose ring version) in the correct size.

These bits would be pretty much much of a muchness wouldnt they or is there a big difference we have not thought of?

a fulmer and a full cheek snaffle are the same thing.

o i see what you mean, the full cheek snaffle will work a bit better as it wont go round, but if it is because of the steering difficulties it wont make and difference really.
