My horse has a VERY soft mouth (which is great) but he just never seems happy with his bit. He's in a Sweet Iron French Link Snaffle. He's only got a smallish mouth so I'm thinking it's probably too chunky. He's constantly messing around and opening his mouth and throwing his jaw about, (which he then ends up with his head stuck in the air!) and he seems to "gag" on his bit.I don't ride him in a tight contact either. I'd love to be able to control his head!! His teeth are done regular, they were only done again last month.
