Hi
I have started hunting with the Exmoor Foxhounds. No jumping but massive wide open spaces, bogs, terrifying ups and downs etc.....
My mare knows the terrain but when we go she REALLY goes and I just can't stop her. She is in a hard rubber Pelham with roundings. She puts her head down (guessing that's leaning?) and goes until we reach the huntsman!!!!
NOBODY rides with 2 reins up here as coping with the terrain with 1 rein is tough enough.
Any suggestions for brakes? I have a Waterford 2 rein gag from a friend - would that work?? Tried a 3 ring Dutch jointed gag but she throws her head around......
