Hi everyone i purchased my 11yr old mare in may for me a novice beginner as my first horse. she is great at da best of times but finding her really hard to control in her canter she will just take off at a fying speed and takes alot of left right left to get her pulled back down. she also loves jumping will trot lovely into a jump but will come off like something thats been struck by lightening in any direction she likes which for a novice is quite difficult to deal with. she came with her own tack and her bit is a strong snaffle can anyone offer me any advice on helping me with this problem? different bit? flash? riding tip? thanks
