I have a connamara gelding with a rahter large head! He is in a full size bridle and take a 6" bit!! I'v had him 4 years and have ridden him in a variety of different bits. He seemed to go well in a thick eggbut snaffle but he touge looked squashed at the sides. Does anyone have any ideas of what bit i can put on him. He's not strong but hes not a plod either.

Thanks

I would try a wilkie (i think thats how you spell it lol) or show ring bit, its a tad stronger than a snaffle, but not much and tends to have a slightly thinner mouthpiece, which contrary to popular belief is actually kinder to connie types with fleshy mouths. Hope Im some help lol xx
