Bit Advice

I'm thinking of changing my horse's bit and wondered what you all think of the NS eggbutt lozenge bit. He resists contact (teeth/back all fine before anyone asks!), it's early days with him, he's an ex racer and with one thing and another we haven't really got going on his re-schooling so I want something quite gentle that will encourage him to seek a contact. Do you think this bit would be a good starting point?

I'm a big fan of the NS Trans Angled Lozenge range. Horses really seem to accept the contact much better with them. Bear in mind that NS come up small, so you'll want to get 1/4" bigger. http://www.dressagedeluxe.co.uk/ is a brilliant website if you're looking to buy online.
