Just been up the yard to do my mare, who's been in since we got back from our local EC at lunchtime (the weather is pants.)

Anyway, there was a slice of half eaten pizza sort of in her stable!!

I say 'sort of' because when I opened the stable door it came out so must have been wedged under there.

Now I saw some of the kids on our yard eating pizza a few stables up (we are in an american style barn) earlier on so I know it was them.
I *don't think* they'd be stupid enough to feed it to her but even so, what was it doing there and why were they even near my horse?!

She was ok but her poo very sloppy which is unlike her - suspect they had been screaming and yelling near her all afternoon...

Told YO and she said she's investigate tomorrow. No impressed - cannot wait to change yards.

TBH I would rather people didn't feed my horse at all over the stable so if I thought someone had been giving him pizza I would be rather unimpressed

I have come to the conclusion that some people have no common sense whatsoever.

I would be fuming too !! I put a post on about people nicking stuff on our yard but putting stuff in someones stable is just as bad

some people just shouldnt be around animals ,especially unsupervised , hope your mare is ok x

Wouldnt have bothered me, thats what kids do.

But what if my horse had eaten it and got colic? Sure, kids will be kids and no harm has been done here but even so - other people messing with my horses/round my stable definitely bothers me!!

What from a piece of pizza? have you seen all the dirt and stuff they eat outside, horses are very selective, hence thats why your horse didnt eat it. If there is no problem, then dont make one, your horse is fine.

To be honest it matters not that it was pizza, or whatever, call me picky or paraniod but I just don't like people messing about with my horse and putting things in her stable. Just my opinion.

But you're right - no harm done.

Yeah, no harm done, but they need to be told - it's just basic respect to clear up after yourself. Best to nip it in the bud now.

i know how you feel its just that someone has been messing with your horse thats more upsetting. i keep mine at home but someone put slug pellets and anti-freeze in my horses water in jan luckly i dont have automatic waterers and found some pellets on the floor one day when giving him fresh water (and a nearly week of having a normaly atomic bomb proof horse turn into a nutter) he was luck but you have to be careful afterall horses get grass sickness never mind when fed anything else!!!
