Looking for advice ? I had a lesson on my 5 year old on Sunday and was told by instructor he has a fairly large tongue - he tries to lift his tongue and put it over the bit (he hasn't got it over bit yet)
Looking to see what kind of bits I can try to make him comfyier in his mouth being ridden
At moment he is in a French link egg butt snaffle

I tried loads before my horse was happy in a Cotswold sport baucher. They have a range for fat tongued horses and very reasonably priced

The simple blue bomber bit loose ring with a port ( not dressage legal )
The intelligent designs curved mouth piece snaffle ( ok for dressage )
The loose ring myler comfort snaffle ( ok for dressage )

Always use a loose ring on a fat tongue as the horse can move it to relieve pressure .

Also I know you have been told he has a fat tongue but it's worth considering that the horse may have hydoid pain and neck pain with causes the horse to draw the tongue back to relieve it.

The intelligent designs curved mouth piece snaffle for the really persistent tongue pressure haters. My pony loved it though he was sadly put down so it's going spare....

This......the first 2 work really well on my horse with a fat tongue, not tried the 3rd.
Single jointed bits are a definite no go!.

I have used a PeeWee bit with good results on my horse, he was a TB that had a verry small mouth and could not cope with much in there!

I have the Jeffries version of the N'S Verbindend and my big tongued boy likes it. He used to loll his tongue out all the time, now it only comes out when he's arguing! Best bit is it only costs £24.99 nice thin mouthpiece too so leaves lots of room for tongue.

My mare has a big tongue and small mouth. She tolerates Mylers but is not that keen so I've just got a Bomber on trial and we'll see how she is with that. I do ride her bitless sometimes but she can be very strong and it's not always a great idea.
