My 5 y.o is currently in a loose ring french link for dressage, and full cheek french link for jumping for a little directional control. She SJ's and XC's in this quite happily.
However I'm about to take her hunting and feel I need a little more control. She is in a grackle noseband too as she crosses her jaw to avoid the bit when she feels she knows best!
I tried a single jointed full cheek with the nutcracked action and she despised it - lots of head tossing and anger. So any suggestions for something a little stronger, but not too strong? I'd rather have an immediate response than have to haul her mouth
