just wondering how many people actually use them and like them?? reason been is that ive been given some patented samples from a us company and the actually fasten and unfasten easily, made from better rubber stronger and can be adjusted to fit any bit,,just wondering what the market for these is really.ive had them out on trial for 6 moths now and they love them but just wanting peoples thoughts ect

They're not too bad Lou to be honest and they do fasten on easier. Agree about using bit guards/rings though as they are very useful as I use them

I think I have them on my sporty horses bit, can't remember, but I think they're all (including those) hideous and if the bit belonged to me I'd cut them off

Those pictured look like a good idea but for me personlly...... no

Very!!!!

Sorry if I offend but I can be terribly picky when it comes to what goes on my horse (well, what things look like anyway!). However if they were pink with diamante on them then it would be a different story

I don't like boit guards, but i think they do their job. I would rather wrestle for ten minutes with bit and bit guard in hot water than use those though, too bulky.

I use them on a Cheltenham gag as he was getting pinched on one side out hunting. Have also used them on a dutch gag that pinched. I don't even notice them on others.

I don't think yours look too bad, but wouldn't want them too bulky or would have to buy a wider bit.

I use them with a 4 ring gag - I've seen people ride without them and sometimes the bit is pulled through the mouth too much. Less movement when using the bit rings.

ETA- i prefer the look of normal bit rings to those ones though.

They are a bit ugly!

I have used them in the past on loose rings but not atm as have no problems with current 2 horses. I like RTE would rather wrestle with normal ones though as....... unlike say overreach boots ....... once they are on they are on so it doesnt matter if you need to wrestle a bit.

But I have never tried to get them on over a dutch gag, I would imagine that might be a bit tricky!

I think the concept is a good idea, as the usual ones are a bit of a faff to get on. As others say though, with the normal ones being so cheap, new ones would have to be a very similar price otherwise people will just buy multiple ones of the old style. Personally, I have to use them due to pinching, but I would always go for what looks the most inconspicuous rather than which is easier to get on.

So in summary...if they were slimline, stylish and of a similar price I would buy them, but if any of these 3 factors weren't addressed I wouldn't change

I'd use bit guards if I had a horse that went in a loose ring but that got pinched. To be honest though if the bit is big enough they don't normally pinch.

I can see the point of the easy on and off ones the OP is showing if you do dressage as it would be cheasier than either having to take normal ones off for dressage or having to have a second bit especially.

However OP why are you using them with an eggbut? They are meant for loose rings. That might actually be why they look so bulky too.......

not my choice what they where put on im afraid i just took the picture, they arnt as bulky as it looks they are a bit thicker but only slightly,if original ones where thicker you would never be able to stretch them on,,,,,i gather then that most people go for style and looks over performance???? not a quip just an observation as i am smiling reading this,,all the ugly comments really made me giggle
