Can anyone recommend me a suitable bit to put my mare in for hunting?

Shes a 17.3hh MW WB, schools well, SJ/XC in a aurigan KK snaffle bridle, however took her hunting and have a few issues.

I think the main thing is how fast the hunt is - she doesnt like standing around, so trying to find some better meets for her. She snatches at the reins and really does go like a train when shes going, found it pretty hard to stop her, would prefer to ask and her come back then dragging on her mouth.

She naturally has a high head carriage and doesnt need an elavator bit. Also need a double jointed mouth piece.

Any recommendations? Was thinking American gag with double reins?

they do a kk three ring bit, which means you can keep her with the same mouth piece, but use whatever ring is suitable for the occassion. expensive, but effective.

never seen a double jointed American gag....

Had a horse similar and had some success with a waterford Neue Schule universal - they also have a lozenge mouthpiece too

ill have a look at the KK bits, price isnt a problem as long as it works - unfortunately she hates the new positioning of the lozenge on the KK - think its called the ultra, and they dont do the mouthpiece that she currently has - only found this out when i bought the full cheek snaffle - waste of over £110

will def go have a look though thanks
