Bit help pretty please

My lad is currently in a Neue Schule Verbindend, but i need something for abit more control, more brakes, would prefere it to be dressage legal. Any ideas? x
 
My mare used to be in the same bit, and went lovely in it 99% of the time, but for more exciting hacks, windy days schooling etc I needed a little extra. She is now in a hanging cheek which is working brilliantly for her, with the bonus of a clearer message I think as the bit is more still in her mouth because of the fixed cheeks. Still dressage legal. You can get one with the same mouthpiece from Neue Schule.
 
Hanging cheek snaffles are good but if you want a loose ring many of the myler bits give more control. But I would definatly try a hanging cheek as they are good, I have mine in a loose ring with a french link but when he's strong I put him in a hanging cheek with a hanging cheek.
 
As well as the neue schule hanging cheek, cotswold sport do a really nice tongue saver one too. Oh mare has this one and it is fab, and rather alot cheaper than the neue schule one! The mouth piece shape is very similar, but I think just a touch more shaped which suits her large tongue as it gives it more space.
