My horse is a monkey for leaning on me... Currently going through the process of teaching him to do all the work & not me!!

I have had the usual back, teeth, saddle done.... Bit wise I have been advised to try a Cherry Roller or Waterford, what do you think?... Want to avoid gags, etc as much as I can...

Please help?

Something bendy in the middle the horse can't lean on would work best. Both a cherry roller and a waterford fit that bill. Neither are gag bits - although the can be fitted to gag type cheek peices.

If you can find a local or postal bit bank that would be best as you can try out bits without having to spend a fortune on ones that don't work!
