I’ve had my 14.1 coblet since last summer and he has a habit of putting his tongue over the bit, he arrived with a rubber snaffle, popped his tongue over, I’ve ridden him in a ported snaffle for several months which seemed to be doing the trick but the last few rides again when we’ve got back and checked, his tongue is back over. I had his teeth done when I bought him and no issues identified but I have booked her to come again in the new yr. any ideas gratefully received?

A good bit fitter is well worth a go. They can see the horse in person and assess their mouth conformation and see if there's anything going on to cause him to put the tongue over the bit and you can also try a variety of bits to see if they do help.

I've had one who fussed with a loose ring bit, swapped to a hanging cheek and she settled down perfectly- if yours is in a loose ring it might be worth trying something with a bit more stability?
