bit help

i need a bit with lots of poll pressure because zak seems to be holding his head very high in the air when doing any fast work-but also that wont cut his mouth. A dutch gag, tomb thumb have both cut his mouth as he is extremely strong.any ideas?i was thinking a cheltenham(sp!)?

Cheltenhams tend to raise the head. How about a curb bit to encourage him to break over at the poll?

Sounds like u dont want a gag then as its prob the sliding action that is pinching. Have u tried an elevator, long shank pelham or a swales?
