Hiya sorry if this is asked a lot, but I don't come in here very often :o

I am thinking of trying my horse bitless, there is a trainer who comes to the yard who specialises in retraining horses to go bitless and I am very tempted to try. My boy (as commented on by the vet when he had his teeth done last week) has a very large tongue and I have always struggled to find a really suitable bit for him, he has a very slimline snaffle witha lozenge at the mo, although he has had it a while and he seems a lot happier. I still feel he isn't 100 percent comfortable, and I have tried so many different ones this so far has been the best.

So curious to hear any bitless conversions, the make you used, what works and what doesn't for you and why. The trainer has suggested we try an Orbitless bridle, anyone used one and what do you think...Thanks loads xxx

I use a Dr. Cook, which was very kindly recommended by a forum member from here!
My Arab goes really well in it and we have never had a problem with it,wonderful.

I have an Easytrek bitless bridle for my cob. It's essentially a cheaper version of the Dr Cooks. He has a large fleshy tongue but a very small mouth and anything in his mouth causes discomfort. He took to bitless straight away and have had no issues. He loves being bitless....I love him being bitless!
