bit minging but squirty mare question!!

im just wondering if anyone has a mare who constantly squirts even when stood all by herself, its very strange i know most mares will do this when in season at other boys etc but never heard of them randomly doing it on their own.. she dosent do it when been ridden or lead around even if right next to geldings is liturally just when shes stood still.. is making my life hell as she has a white tail... or what im trying to get white.. any ideas or suggestions??
 
not sure what you mean. Do you mean she is squirting when in season but not when near other horses, or she squirts when not even in season?
 
Sorry didnt explain very well its when she's In season which is quite a lot atm as young and mixed field. But she only does it when out of field and is stood tied up alone. Hope that makes more sense lol
 
My mares do squirt a lot when in season, doesn't seem to matter where they are though in fairness they live out most of the time. She probably is squirting in the field but you aren't there to see it I would imagine. Do you tie her up where there may be a strong male scent? Although mine can be set off by other mares around too.
 
Aw so sounds quite normal then, only ever had geldings so not used to this, she does it often wen been groomd especially if am doing her bum or tail. Nearly got caught owt other day brushing bottom of legs nearly landed on me think id av cried he he
 
Yes, mine used to do it in her stable when there were no other horses around. Don't forget that they can hear and smell infinitely better than we can so could easily be responding to stimulus that we are unaware of. Mine also used to do it (along with squealing and kicking the wall and bum pressing) when she saw me because she knew I would say oh dear and be all sympathetic with her and who doesn't like a bit of sympathy when their hormones are on the rampage ? :)
