I was hacking up a narrow lane yesterday when I met a car coming the other way. I turned round and went back to a passing place and the driver gave me a big smile and blew me a kiss. I met him again on the way back where there was room to pass and got a big cheery wave. Really made my day (well I've reached the age I'm grateful for anything!).
Compare that to this morning. Hacking along the road (luckily a much wider one!) I could hear a car coming really fast behind. Asked him to slow down and he made no attempt whatsover and then stuck 2 fingers up at me. Luckily my boy was a star and ignored the pillock.
I'm a great believer that behaviour breeds behaviour so I'll bet that the first guy has a much happier life with people being nice back to him, wheras the guy today gets lots of hassle for his stinking attitude.
