Well my move and new start at Hartpury is moving ever closer 29 days to be precise
very very excited and apprehensive all at once.
Marley-im-a-ginger-bog-pony is staying at home and im going to miss him so so so much
lots of crying when i leave over him i thinks. and Teddy-im-such-a-poser is coming with me.
My dilemma is...I dont know when to bring Ted along. My mum wants me to wait 2 weeks and bring him down my birthday weekend. My close friends think either straight away or only one week maybe.
The difficulty i have is im torn between all scenarios. i understand what my mum is saying so far as it will give me time to get things properly ready for Teddy get a bit settled myself etc. but then again im worried if i leave him behind our bond will not be as strong, i wont be in control of getting him ready to come and ill have to change a routine ill have already developed to fit back in around Teddy and also the first week will be the quietest on the yard as it will only be the college horses and the First Year Liveries there. and what with Ted being a fairly quiet reserved chap prone to being nervous in a different environment i wonder if giving him a quieter first week wold be beneficial. but then on the bad side i wont have a bed ready for him and he could spend around 30mins standing on the lorry while i go and find my allocated stable bed down and get everything ready for him. and would bringing him straight away effect how i settle at college in a severe way
HELP! pleasE?
