I have for sale a 15.3hh 3.5 year old tb (not advertising but does have some input into the story :D ) He is very chilled for a baby and is the complete opposite of your stereotypical ex racer but as all babies do he does on occasions have a bit of a confidence crisis. I have been approached by the father of two girls that ride at my yard as to whether he would be suitable for the daughters and the mum all of which ride to a good novice standard (jumping upto 2'6'',walk,trot,canter with and without stirrups, able to hack out safely) . He would stay at the yard and he said that they would still like my input into his education/bringing on. I have explained that he is a baby so would have a relatively light workload for the next 9-12 months (light hacking,10-15 mins in the school here and there) and whether the girls would be able to wait as such for him to finish growing etc. I have invited them to come and try him so they can see what I mean. I'm not really sure how o proceed as on the plus side - lovely family - he wouldn't want for anything, would stay close by so I could see how he progresses and help if needed, would have a relatively safe bet of a home for life and I do really need to sell. The negatives I can see is - will the kids wait , relative novices and a baby are 99% of the time not a great mix and he can be a strong character with certain issues eg shoeing so I would need to make time for this even though he won't be mine anymore. Help!! I always promised myself that I would never sell to the wrong person and on paper this shouldn't work but I keep coming back to the fact that this could be really good for the little lad :(

loan. If you sell you have no right to interfere....

if not loan - loan with view to buy if everything works out but then you have th eporblem both times of if they mess his schooling up??

I had considered this - I have seen a couple of horses come back fromt hese totally different to how they went out and not in a good way :) May suggest this and see what response I get. Always promised I wouldn't get attached to this little man but I think it is too late. He just has such a can do personality and I want the right home for him to fullfill this . I'm sooooo blooming soft :D
