...but whats the difference between assissted DIY livery and part livery? trying to think of what is cheaper should we ever have to go to a livery yard or i move a good distance away-currently my mum rents a small horsey plot which is private.

Assisted DIY is usually when the yard owner/staff turnout and feed in the morning for you but leave the rest up to you.

Part livery is usually 5 weekdays of "full" livery with the staff doing everything for the horse except riding (and sometimes grooming) but you have full responsibility at weekends.

Hope that helps!

oh okay. yeah it does thankyou :)

Really depends on the area and the facilities at the yard really!

Where I am in Surrey is very expensive, one very nice yard with excellent facilities charges £500 per month for Part livery!
I would expect something around £250 per month or a bit less for assisted DIY, but would probably be much less in cheaper areas.
