As title really. Feeling really down tonight missing my old pony who I sold three years ago and who was sadly PTS a few months ago due to a very rare form of liver poisoning.
Was very upset and cried so much when the people I sold her to told me (bless them as they didn't need to). She was such an amazing pony for me. My first pony but by no means a push button. Initially came from southhall market in Surrey and made her way down to Devon from pillar to post never really given a chance in life. I bought her as a wild child who took 3 hours to catch, headshy, motorbiked round the school and took off into jumps always ridden in a 3 ring. We taught eachother so much - she went from flat out round a school to performing beautiful dressage tests and she got my confidence up in jumping by getting me from 2ft to 3ft6 -, she was my best friend, always there when I had a problem. After 4 amazing years decided to sell as wanted to move onto horses and as amazing as she was an all rounder didn't have the scope for BE which is what I wanted to do. However a broke my leg and a sale fell through so decided to hold back on selling and got my strength and confidence back on her before she left (was riding a week after shattering my leg
)
I never really wanted to sell her but my instructor pushed for it as knew what I wanted to go on and do competing wise.
I guess I wish I had one last chance to say goodbye to her as I know I'll never find another girl like her.
Sorry for pointless thread, just needed to get it off my chest as know some of you will totally understand.
