Was justin a petrol station near Maidstone when the person in the queue behind me asked if I was horsey and if I was stabled near here so said yes . She went on to explain that her horse had been stolen on Saturday by somebody she knew but there was some issue with thepolice getting involved - not sure if she doesn't want them involved or they don't want to be involved - it has benn reported to the local police though so not entirely sure of the full details. Horse is 16.3h bay tb with three white socks and a blaze . I have the girls phone number if anyone has any info. The horse was stolen from sittingbourne and she believes it to be in the west of maidstone area (east mallin, larkfield etc) . Sorry its all a bit vague but thought it might be worth posting.

Unfortunately this horse cannot go into Horsewatch system without a Crime Number
It sounds like a dispute of ownership perhaps if police unwilling to be involved.
Like you say odd one.

Sorry but a horse can be put onto the horsewatch system without a crn.
There are many that have been as half the time the police won't do anything about missing on loan horses

Agree some Police Forces seem disinterested in missing on loan but for a horse to be entered onto Stolen Horse Register it must have a Crime Number

Ok Cuffey so that is a clarifaction as the horsewatch stolen horse list is different to the stolen horse register.
Within certain police force divisions things are treated differently.
In Hertfordshire the equine liason officer is fab and in Essex all lost horses are logged into the lost property system and given a log umber, or at least that is how it is meant to be
