I find Chloe isn't always happy in her mouth with the bit she is in...a loose ring fulmer. Lots of fiddling, occasionally throwing head around etc...and just doesn't feel entirely happy in it. It isn't her teeth, she has recently had them done

Can you suggest anything? I do want to get rid of the flash, so preferably a straight bar something (or would this not help to prevent her putting her tongue over the bit??)

Is it just a single jointed? Perhaps trying a bit with a lozenge, or a french link and fixed cheeks?

Sorry, yes it is single jointed. Thanks, will look into them.

Just lessens the nutcracker action, and can make them more comfortable! Hope that helps!!

Yep! Just takes some pressure off the sides of their ouths, is more comfortable on their tongue, and can stop fussiness cos it is fixed and not loose ring!

Our pony is similarly fussy and goes well in an eggbut Myler with 3 rollers, but would also, I suspect, go well in other types of bit with a mobile mouthpiece which is neither straight bar nor jointed as she seems to dislike both of these.

Good luck
