bit question

heya, if anyone could help me out with this it would be great! recently bought a full cheek copper roller like this one

and was wondering if there is a correct way that it should be attached to the bridle. there is no curve in it and appears to bend exactly the same whichever way i flex it. any ideas? thanks!

Often one of the spikes will have a curve in it, this should be the top spike and it should curve away from the horses face.
