Horse currently goes in a simple Myler - low port comfort one (eggbutt without hooks). He goes ok in it, although occassionally can pull and run through the bridle (he can be a bit panicky / quirky sometimes). He's nicely forward going, very responsive but can go behind the bit sometimes.

I just want a change because I find the shape seems a bit odd in his mouth, the round edges of the mouthpiece sometimes dont sit right and look a bit uncomfortable. I was looking at the KK/Sprenger or Neue Shuele (sp!) type bits.

What bit do you recommend, any good ones out of these ranges?

if hes strong, look at the post i said about the bit. not sure what it is but JJ used to be in a simple snaffle, and when he went out up the gallops or on hacks he was in a kimblewick with curb chain.

anyway, since hes been working in the menage with his new bit hes much nicer and doesn't buck as much as usual, hes more responive too and i've managed to get him on the bit a few times since i've ridden him in it. good luck finding a new bit for your horse

Hm, I would go on the neue schule website to be honest, is very helpful and full of good advice! My boy goes beautifully in the tranz link anyway, and there are loads of different cheeks to suit, so depends on mouth conformation etc.
