Hi guys

What size, Dutch Gag bit, would fit a 16.2hh horse?

That's an impossible question to answer. It would completely depend on the breed of horse and what size and shape their mouth/tongue is.

You might have a 13.2 pony who needs a bigger bit than a 16.2 horse, for instance!

I measure with a wooden spoon. Put a mark just near the bowl and another where the lip ends at the other side. Use a ruler to measure the distance between the marks and you have the bit size you need.

The other challenges is different makes size differently. Very annoying.

I also have 4 bits, all same make and supposedly same size, but they don't measure the same!

Depends how big the horses mouth is 😏

But the likelihood is it will be somewhere between 5 & 6”
