Yes you will get fed up of Corgi posts but I will make up for it with photos later. :p

My parents let me know Jack's been hiding lots since Qulia came home but I presumed it was because he didn't want to play all the time. However I've been watching him and he seems really quite depressed :(

We've had a one on one cuddle this morning while madam is in her crate and he seemed to cheer up a bit but he's still skulking off as soon as I move.

Bearing in mind I can't walk him, I can't bend or get down to play, he doesn't bother with toys and he's on a constant diet how can I cheer him up? I don't like seeing him like this :(

He's probably just had his nose put out of joint by the new arrival and is probably a bit down since your absence. Our old girl was the same when B arrived.
Will he not go for toys or small furry things at all? What about a flirt pole? Like a rag or a teddy tied on the end of a bamboo pole or lunge/schooling whip?

Nothing that isn't food....been trying everything for the six years we've had him to get him to play beyond wrestling with me but 'one is above that nonsense' ;)

I'd love to take him for a really good run around the local country park but mum and dad are faffing and won't drive me anywhere or let me walk anywhere atm!

He's terrified of the balls (got one to try and stop him gobbling food) but I might try a kong :)

I'm hoping its just a combination of his nose being put out of joint and being a grumpy old man about madam harassing him to play. Sneaky sofa cuddles with his mummy are very much on the menu for him atm.

When we got our puppy our older dog litereally refused to look at her! He'd bury his head in the corner of the sofa and do anything to not have to interact with her, he got over it in his own time.

He has had a bit of a double whammy with Quila arriving and then you disappearing, he is probably just a bit disgruntled by it all. The fact you are now home doesn't necessarily mean he will instantly be back to normal, my old bitch used to sulk terribly with me after I had been away, took 2 or 3 days before I got anything more than a token tail wag. :p
