Bit

Hi, just a quick qestion on bits. My horse will grab onto the bit and rear then bolt off with me hes currently in a jointed egg butt snaffel. Have you got any ideas on what bit he wont be able to grab hold of?

hmmm
I'm not sure a different bit is going to solve everything here!

Do you know WHY he grabs hold of the bit?
Is it REALLY bolting - ( a bit of a contencious issue on HHO) - Does he blind panic run for 3 miles, or rush around the school a while?

I'd like more info, but would recommend something like a kinnerton noseband- sticking head up doesn't escape it!!! Mine sticks his head up when he's being a sod, and the kinnerton gives me lovely control when used even with my snaffle, whilst being mild until you need it

Ait doesn't involve tying the mouth shut!!!
