Remember my previous query regarding our very nearly 2 yr spaniel not had a season yet?
Well, guess what!!

Brings me to question what others do in the house with them for the 3 weeks.
Do you allow normal access / ban them to the easy clean floors(no carpets) or (and please don't say yes to this,) make them wear nappies!?

Previously all our bitches have been confined to the kitchen anyway, so it made no difference, but OH has allowed spaniel into the office and living room (carpet). I warned him that the dog will then be suddenly very confused when we ban her, and low and behold...
Not to mention the very untrained, almost now untrainable in-laws pain in the bottom springer is coming to stay for two weeks in about 10 days. I can forsee a mass family fall out, and a potential divorce when I have to clean up after both spaniels! (the other one wee's constantly and spins in stupid circles spraying it everywhere, not to mention it's vocal attention grabbing yapping.)

Help!!

I couldn't nappy a dog, I'm with FM on that. Mine just have to deal with being confined ther the day part of the house, all easy clean floors. If they come in the sitting room in the evening it is only to lie on their own blanket and not move.
Enjoy the visitor!!

Is the other spaniel a bitch also? Our bitch isn't allowed where there are carpets anyway (upstairs) so he only huge drama is not being allowed on the couch. TBF she doesnt bleed a lot, just the odd spot here or there. We had a nightmare this time though with brothers male ( castrated) dog coming for his holidays shortly after. Our bitch tormented the life out of him to "make puppies!" with her, to the point we had to keep them in separate rooms to give him peace!

The other spaniel is a bitch too.
I think Rosie is understanding the rules very well considering, but old dog doesn't get why she has to stay put too!

Not sure why the fuss ? It's just a little blood. If you don't like it then you either teach the dog to stay where the mess is easy to clean, or you put on bitch knickers. Mine is on my sofa and on carpets and on the bed, so she wears them when she is not confined the (easy to clean) kitchen or outside.
