Bite/sting reaction, best way to treat?

Looks like a horrible insect got stuck under one of the horses rugs on the buckles at the chest, it has bitten like mad and caused a bit of an allergic reaction. It is about the size of my palm,very very lumpy and a bit warm/tender.

What is the best way to treat it? I have washed with antiseptic and put soothing cream on it. Horse seems fine.

Cover it in derma gel or something like that and should be fine.

Sudocrem is always my answer to everything.

It usually soothes the irritation, but if the horse seems fine, I wouldn't worry too much.

I gave mine pititon/ allergy pills as vet said my girlie had been bitten by something. It was something like 7/8 pills. Luckily pound land sell them cheap.

Mine too. Bonus as you can nick some if YOU get stung (or overdo the underarm waxing, as I did once, he he!).
