Well Maggie has suddenly started biteing her tail, alot! She has now got to the stage were shes chewing the fur off the end of her tail and she has taken a huge chunk of fur out! Shes almost at the bone of her tail.
So what can we do about it? If anything? She is a pretty little thing yet she has to ruin it... dogs.... lol!
I threatened to spray her with this non chew spray but i read the back and said "DONT USE ON ANIMALS!" i was like noooo! hehe!
Thanks if any help can be offered!

My westie did this and firstly everytime we saw him doing this we firmly said No and stoped him from doing it however this didnt work, so we used the same stradigy but if he continued he got water sprayed on his face whihc he hated and now he doesnt do it.

Hope this helps

Ditto Prose's comments but please be very careful, my first Staffie used to do this, she would go around in circles chasing her tail (not mad - honestly), she would bite her tail constantly, it got infected and she had to have a quarter of it amputated - not a nice experience.

Check her for fleas and the skin for any soreness or inflammation.
Sounds like if its not fleas or worms, it could be a reaction to something or a food allergy.
