my TB seems to have sensitive skin and has a lot of bald patches from bite marks from playing with his field mates

as i do a lot of showing its obvioulsy not ideal. this morning he had a massive one on his quarters , im not sure how to stop this happening. he gets the marks even thru a HW rug. but i dont want to move him to a field himself either as he is happier in the herd but at the same time a patchwork show horse is not attracetive! so im not sure what to do, i hope someone can help with a good suggestion!!

Could you electric fence a bit off so he is still in the same field but separate?

That or try something nasty tasting smeared on his rugs (or maybe something sprayed on?)

or do what the showing people on our yard do - put 300 rugs on and never turn out

what about smearing crib ox on his rug it might but them off. are you sure they are from bites?
