Hi All,

I'm wanting some advice before I go and possibly waste my money (LOL :D)

My boy is currently in a silver bradoon for his flat work, We get on well with this bit but just thinking of swopping it for a sweet copper mouth piece instead? To make him saliva a bit more and so it warms up his mouth that bit quicker,

has anyone done this swop over? Do people prefer the copper mouth piece?

Thanks in advance! :D

Try giving him a chunk of apple before you start your session if you're after a wetter mouth.

Too much saliva when being ridden can be bad though.

Silver! Wow - I wish that I was rich enough to have silver bits rather than the normal stainless steel. :p :D

On a more serious note, I have a sweet iron with copper lozenge, loose ring bit and my mare did like it more than the stainless steel version of the same bit, but she likes the myler comfort snaffle (stainless steel) more.
