Can anyone recommend the best bit to encourage my pony to take up the contact. At the moment I am really struggling to get her to work in an outline. Now I know that there is no quick fix and that schooling and lessons are the most important thing but I want to make sure that i'm getting all the help I can! At the moment I have her in a hanging cheek snaffle as she was in a hollow mouth snaffle but she was getting a little strong when hacking. When schooling (and lunging) she does work quite well but just sticks her nose out and doesn't accept the bit, do you think a looser bit that she can play with would be more encouraging?

French link loose ring snaffle. It is the kindest bit I have ever used, seems to suit all types, is dressage legal and because its loose ring it prevents leaning on the bit ( nothing to lean on) and encourages a contact. Hanging cheek exerts poll pressure which can make horses resistant.
