We have hundreds of the things left to us... Being from a farming background we never used bits growing up and since then I've only ever really played with snaffles and gags. So.... any good sites for working out what I have before popping it up on ebay?!!!

Ifold, they can be worth quite a lot of money, try BIT WORLD, they have a private museum of bits, covering bits back to the Medieval period, they will give you an opinion, selling them of E Bay, you risk getting pea nuts!

As we have a fair few horses - snaffles and nice bits for a youngster will be kept and any others that I would never use (and if need to in the future can re-purchase) will be sold (or considered for Cairo). Hopefully the cost can go towards a bitless bridle for my girl
