my cob tends to to tuck his chin into his chest,yew down on the bit and trys to grab the reins. hes in a pelham which bit can l use to lift is head with out being sever,he has a fleshy mouth with a thick tongue.

Have you got the curb too tight that may be why hes tucking his head into his chest.

If you like pelhams, try one with a port.
If he has a large tongue a port would give it some room.

My horse used to do that when i had a pelham in...but i have since put a waterford in and he has changed completely!!
this might wok for you aswell? but i think its just a case of trial and error

no if any thing l ride with it lose curb chain lv had him 8months ,he came in it he dose not need to be in a pelham,want to try some thing which would keep his head up.

no l dont,l think he was put in the pelham because hes a heavy weight cob,so want to try some thing diffrent on him.
