Hi all, just looking for some advice. I have a 16 hand Connemara X draught. He is 9 years old. Hunting since he was 4. I ride him in a sprenger (ultra kk universal) https://www.horsebitbank.com/kk-ultra-universal-18mm-70mm-156.phtml#. have hunted in this since the beginning. He is getting very strong of late. He is very keen, always has been and isn't silly but getting strong and doesn't have huge regard for the bit. Any advice? Thank you.

Have you put the curb strap on? If not try that as it is what the bit is designed for. When you say he has no regard for the bit what does he actually do? Curl behind it, raise his head and hollow? The answer then suggets the family off bits to try for. Alterntaively just call the bit bank and ask thier advice!

Hi , no I don't have a curb strap. I will look into that. He will grab the reins and pull away from me more so and say when you take a pull he is inclined to lean and go against it.
