I haven't ridden my boy for some months and due to my health problems, which may be ongoing, have taken the decision to remove his shoes. This will be done next Monday so hopefully expected rain will soften the ground somewhat. I have owned him for 10yrs and has always been shod every 6 weeks or so. To my knowledge has been shod from 3 1/2 yrs old. He is now 20 yrs old. I think maybe will do his feet the world of good as he has small hooves for his size and I have always thought his frogs rather puny.

I do have an arena to ride in if I so wish.

Wish him luck!

Good luck! I took my 18 y/old cob's shoes off this year - he's been shod since he was 5 at least - and his feet are holding up OK :)
